HONORARY AWARDS
Montana DECA's Annual Honorary Awards recognize individuals for outstanding and significant contributions toward the development and progress of Montana DECA. Our Honorary Awards provide the opportunity to recognize dedicated supporters from the local to statewide levels who further our mission of preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management.
The Montana DECA Hall of Fame award was established in 1996, on the occasion of National DECA’s 50th anniversary. This award was created to honor those special individuals who have left their positive footprints on Montana DECA throughout history. Nominations are reviewed by the Montana DECA Executive Board and State Director. Inductions are awarded based on the significant impact of the individual, with the prestigious award being presented at the Montana DECA State Career Development Conference in early February. The Hall of Fame Award is the highest recognition a DECA Member/Advisor can achieve.
The Montana DECA Advisor of the Year Award recognizes a Montana DECA chapter advisor who demonstrates exceptional dedication to their students, chapter, school, community, and the broader Montana DECA organization. The award celebrates advisors who go above and beyond to create meaningful DECA experiences, develop student leaders, grow their chapter, and positively impact the lives of the students they serve.
The Montana DECA Member of the Year Award recognizes an exceptional DECA member who demonstrates outstanding service, leadership, dedication, and impact within their local chapter and the broader DECA community. The ideal nominee is more than a successful competitor or officer—they are someone who makes their chapter, school, community, and fellow DECA members better through their involvement.
All nominations must be submitted by December 18, 2026 for consideration and recognition at the Annual State Career Development Conference.
