This is my senior year at Bozeman High school. I am honored to have been selected as the 2009-2010 State President of DECA and the assistant manager for my local DECA chapter. I was born in Phoenix, Arizona and spent the first 11 years of my life there.  For as long as I can remember I have enjoyed being active in as many activities as possible; from church organizations and events, to school courses, teams and clubs. My interests include political science, marketing, leadership, sports, performing arts, social service and travel. When we first moved to Bozeman, I had the opportunity to be a director for the 2004 Sweet Pea Festival of the Arts and was the youngest person to ever hold that position.  Having had the opportunity to participate in many great events, I understand that to be successful, it is often necessary to put aside my personal ambitions, opinions and feelings. This became particularly apparent when I represented the State of Montana and the Northwest US at the United Nations Student Conference held in New York City December of 2008; guiding the committee though many obstacles in an effort to reach our objective. I have represented BHS locally, and at state and national level events.  Some of my greatest opportunities have been to collaborate with students from other cultures and countries in influencing policy development.  Years of speech and debate competition helped hone my skills of being able to set aside personal feelings in order to effectively promote constituent needs. For me, success is measured by the things that I can do for those who pass though my life. Overcoming several obstacles to make this year the best for Montana DECA is not only my duty, but my pleasure.

My name is Josh Reed and I am a senior at Sentinel High School. I’ve been involved in DECA for two years now and I am the Montana DECA Vice President. I am the Administrative Director for Sentinel’s DECA Chapter, as well as a project manager. I enjoy many different types of outdoor activities such as hunting, fishing, skiing, and water sports; basically anything. I love to live to the fullest.  I plan on pursuing a career in marketing and advertising at Johnson and Wales University in Denver, and to eventually create my own marketing firm.

My name is Josh Mueller. I am a senior at Sentinel High School. This is my third year in DECA. I am the Vice President of Sentinel and Administrative Director for the state. This is my second year as a manager of Sentinels school store the Sparta Mart.  I play soccer and a little bit of basketball. In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my friends out on the soccer field and listening to music.

Hey! My name is Aaron Roberts, and I am a state officer out of Great Falls. As this year's Membership Director, my job has been not only increasing the size of DECA, but also advertising DECA to people who had never heard of it before. I have been in DECA for over two years now because I know that what I do in DECA matters. That is why my number one goal this year is to make the State Conference as memorable to you as the last two have been to me. I owe it to you to make that a reality, and I believe that with a little dream, and a lot of hard work, we can all help to accomplish this goal. But without your hard work, dedication, and perseverance, the success we strive for is itself just a dream. So this is my pledge to you: I promise to do all that is within my power to make this year in DECA the best one yet. Once I've done that, what you do with it is entirely up to you. God Bless!

Hi everyone! My name is Taylor Cummings and I am senior at Belt High School. This is my fourth year as a member of Montana DECA, and I am so glad I get to spend it serving you as Communications Director. I am Belt’s chapter president and have competed at the ICDC the past two years. I participate in many other extracurricular activities at our school outside of DECA including Science Olympiad and MBI Youth Leadership. I love to play basketball and soccer, and although I may not always enjoy it, I run cross-country and track.  Last year I was selected for the All-State Basketball team, and I recently helped Belt achieve its fourth straight cross-country championship. The past four years I have experienced DECA in a way that allowed me to create incredible memories and helped me develop numerous leadership skills.  I challenge you to do the same and take advantage of all DECA has to offer.
